Data Select celebrates the 2nd anniversary of the Platinum Club.
On the 8th October 2009 Data Select celebrated the 2nd anniversary of the Platinum Club held at Milton Hill House Hotel in Abingdon. The seventh conference since its inception two years previous was attended by 60 delegates representing 50 of Data Select's Key Accounts.
The event was attended by seven of the major UK manufacturers including headline sponsors LG as well as Nokia, BlackBerry, HTC, Sony Ericsson, Samsung and Motorola who presented their latest product roadmaps to the Platinum Club members.
The day was split into three, with three individual presentations in each section. The Platinum Club members were split into three groups based on their individual business types (B2C, Corporate and B2B). This allowed the manufacturers to tailor their presentations to discuss products that were pertinent to each group ensuring that the delegates received information that was relevant to them.
For the evening primary sponsors LG treated the delegates to a lavish four course meal followed by entertainment including a comedian and Data Select's own interpretation of the popular Japanese game show Banzai!
The Platinum Club was established to provide dealers and manufacturers with a ‘virtual direct relationship'. Membership has a number of benefits including partner pricing, marketing support, field training, sample handsets, a quarterly conference and the support of a dedicated Platinum Club Account Manager.
The past 12 months have seen the Platinum Club grow from 33 to 52 members and the number of manufacturers supporting the initiative has also increased from 7 to 10. Since its launch on 10th October 2007 the Platinum Club has delivered to its members:

Data Select aim to induct a further 20 accounts into the club by the next conference on the 25th February 2010, one week after GSMA World Congress.
Two years on since the Platinum Club was launched, Data Select continue to demonstrate their ability to provide a service package second to none, cementing their place as the number 1 distributor in the UK.
