1.9 million TV viewers tune in to 10tele.com Open final
The 10tele.com Open in Nottingham was a major activity for the Phones
International Group in June. As one of the major ATP men’s tennis
events in the UK, 10tele.com’s position as title sponsor meant a
lot of high profile awareness – including the televised matches
on Sky TV (the final was watched by 1.9 million viewers).
As well as considerable branding at the event, which ran from 13 to 18
June, the company set up a retail stand/demonstration area within the
10tele.com Open Village, which was manned by an energetic team of employees
from across the company.
As part of the activity at the event to raise awareness of 10tele.com,
the company partnered up with Sony Ericsson to demonstrate the new K750i
camera phone handset – backed by a special price purchase offer
at the event itself and on the 10tele.com web site.
To promote the K750i handset, a team of people spent their time ‘snapping’
visitors at the event – then offering them a FREE colour print out of
their picture in a special presentation wallet. Several hundred visitors took
advantage of this offer, with long queues forming at the stand between matches.
In addition, the company made use of lively hospitality facilities to entertain
customers and business partners throughout the week, as well as a special table
for our own employees on a very hot and sweltering finals day on the Saturday.
The sponsorship forms part of an ongoing business marketing strategy to raise
the profile of 10tele.com, which is the Group’s online portal for a vast
range of communications products and services targeted directly at end users.
